New Images to Celebrate Summer!
The summer holidays are upon us already - how did that happen?! We are open 7 days a week in the gallery and we have a summer gift fair coming up at Creake Abbey Barns on the Saturday of Bank Holiday Weekend in August - so we are busy busy busy! We have managed to get out and about too, and we have some new images to share with you over the next few weeks here on the blog. So to start things off, we have a lovely picture of the famous beach huts at Wells basking in the last o

#30DaysWild 2017
We have had a lovely time trying to be a little bit wilder in June - it is definitely something we are going to try and do year round now. Did you join in with the #30dayswild initiative this year? Or maybe it's something you would like to try next year? You can find more information about it by looking at The Wildlife Trusts website here. Here are some of the photos we took while we were trying to be wild! #30DaysWild #Countryside #Walking #CommonTwaybladeOrchid #CommonSp

#30DaysWild - Lincolnshire
Last week saw us take a small break from Norfolk and travel back to Lincolnshire for a couple of days. We had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying some of the wildlife Lincolnshire has to offer. We kicked things off with a visit to one of our favourite places, Woodside Falconry Park. We used to visit regularly, but with the move to Norfolk it must have been 5 years since our last trip. It has grown up a lot since the last time we were there, but it has not lost any of its

#30DaysWild Day 13
We had to take advantage of a lovely evening to take a stroll down to East Quay and sit for a while watching the world go by. Just sitting for half an hour is the best thing to take away any worries of the day. We also spotted 10 different types of birds mooching around with us without even trying. Some of our bird identification is quite good, others are slightly ropey, but we definitely saw Herring Gull, Black Headed Gull, Oystercatcher, Starling, Mallard, Wood Pigeon, Sw

#30DaysWild Day 9
It's been a little on the quiet side wild wise from us over the last few days - unless watching the brilliant Springwatch every evening counts. We think it counts! Little things like watching a sunset mean all the more when you are busy and think that there is just not time to fit in a little bit of wildlife. There is - and it is maybe not as difficult as we might think. And as a little added bonus - we also captured a bee on this shot going about it business! #garden #TheW

#30DaysWild Day 8
In honour of World Oceans Day, I thought I would take a stroll along the quay and down beach road this morning. The weather hasn't quite cheered up yet after Tuesday and Wednesday, so it was a little bit grey and blustery still, but it didn't stop me enjoying the scenery too much! We are very lucky to live somewhere so pretty, even when the weather is not at its best. Have you got favourite walks or places to visit that never fail to please? #WorldOceansDay #NaturalWorld #O

#30DaysWild Day 6
Well day six seemed to be a slight washout - it was very blustery and wet yesterday and it seemed to put pay to any (dry!) wildness available to us. While I have to admit to taking shelter and not venturing out any more than I really needed to, I did spot these crows in the morning. They seemed to be mobbing something, but there was nothing there that I could see. I will have to do a little bit of research to try and find out what they were up to! #30DaysWild #crows #birds

#30DaysWild Day 2
It will be a bit of a quieter few days for us on the wild front because we are back in the gallery until Tuesday, but we did manage to enjoy a little bit of the sunshine early on in the day which was much appreciated. The weather completely changed tack towards the end of the day though, and it has been raining fairly spectacularly since 3. We managed to dodge the worst of it on the (fast) walk home, so we can't complain - especially when the garden seems to need it so much.

Introducing #30DaysWild 2017
The Wildlife Trusts run an initiative every June challenging you to do something wild everyday for 30 days. We thoroughly enjoyed trying to be a little more wild last year, so we thought we would join in again this year. So here goes - 30 days of wild start here. (We will try to blog everyday, but if we fall behind bear with us!) #30DaysWild Day 1: We spent a couple of hours in the garden this morning enjoying the beautiful sunshine and listening to the bees buzzing around
