Summer Opening Hours
We are gearing up to open 7 days a week for the summer season starting tomorrow Friday 26th July 2019. It's been a busy few weeks (and a hot last few days!) trying to get some new images into the shop and some older favourites too, so we hope we will have something that catches your eye when you visit. It is also the start of Carnival week too, which is always a lovely bustling, busy week in the town with lots of things to see and do. Happy summer! #summerholidays #summer #ho

Sunny Easter Holidays
Well, wasn't that a lovely Easter holiday? We were treated to some amazing weather and the town was heaving. Our best selling image over the last couple of weeks has been "Beach Huts of Holkham", we are thinking that lots of you may well be dreaming of more sunshine and the summer already! We are gearing up for the two May bank holidays which are coming around quickly this year with Easter being so late. After that, before you know it, summer will be well on the way. Are an

Stormy Weather
How has everyone coped with Storm Gareth? It's been very blustery here, making for some interesting days! We are hoping that the stormy weather does move on soon though - we much prefer the sunshine and calm. Fingers crossed for a quieter weather week to come... #weather #stom #StormGareth #Sunshine #WellsnexttheSea #norfolk #NorthNorfolk

What a difference a year makes!
We can hardly believe that this is what Wells looked like at the very end of February and early March last year. This year we had a mini heatwave over half term - blue skies and sunshine, what a huge difference! While it was incredible to see all that snow, I think we know which year we preferred! #snow #beachhuts #WellsnexttheSea #Norfolk #NorthNorfolk #Weather #BlueSkies #Sunshine

February Half Term
Has everyone survived after our brush with Storm Erik? It certainly made the beginning of February interesting! But all seems to have settled down now, and after a great start to the month we are now thoroughly enjoying half term. It is great to see the town busy again and lovely to see some more settled weather coming to stay. Hopefully spring will definitely spring up very soon. Enjoy the sunshine if you have it! #HalfTerm #Norfolk #NorthNorfolk #WellsnexttheSea #Photogra

Gearing up for SUMMER!
With the weather we have been enjoying lately you might be forgiven for thinking that the high summer season has started already! How lucky we have been after a misty start to June to have weeks and weeks of gorgeous summer sunshine in Wells. We are working very hard in the background here at Saltmarsh and Samphire to get lots of new images in the gallery for you to look at during our summer season when we will be open 7 days a week - we will be open everyday from 20th July

Easter Weekend
We have had a lovely, busy Easter weekend here in Wells. We managed to get out a couple of times - so keep your eyes peeled for some new images here shortly. Even though the sun didn't shine quite as much as we hoped, we still saw a lot of you in the gallery which always makes us happy. So thank you to all of you who popped in to see us and bought some of our photography this Easter. We will look forward to seeing more of you soon, and here's hoping that the sun makes more

Three Blue Huts
Just a quick one from us again this week to show off another of our newer images. This one is Three Blue Huts by Emma and you can see it in our gallery in Wells (don't forget we are open 7 days a week for the summer) or in our online shop. Hope you are having a lovely summer so far! #BeachHuts #WellsnexttheSea #Summer #Beach #Seaside #SummerHolidays #Sunshine #Gallerynews #NewImages #Photography

Introducing #30DaysWild 2017
The Wildlife Trusts run an initiative every June challenging you to do something wild everyday for 30 days. We thoroughly enjoyed trying to be a little more wild last year, so we thought we would join in again this year. So here goes - 30 days of wild start here. (We will try to blog everyday, but if we fall behind bear with us!) #30DaysWild Day 1: We spent a couple of hours in the garden this morning enjoying the beautiful sunshine and listening to the bees buzzing around

Things we saw in Wells today
For a day that started off as grey and unappealing as today did, we were treated to a lovely morning down on the quay. A gorgeous sunny morning - dare we hope for more of the same? We have also seen proper evidence of (Shhh - don't spook it) spring springing! Let's hope that the sunshine and new life are here to stay - what a wonderful time of year! We also said hello to the Old Station Pottery Bookshop cat and saw the alpacas running around in the warm sunshine. Who knew t
