Christmas Tide is coming!


Saturday 3rd December is Wells Christmas Tide Festival 2016. We always enjoy the day and there are lots of things to see and do while you visit our lovely town. Check out the programme of events below for a taste of what you can expect.

Wells Christmas Tide Festival 2016 - Saturday 3 December

PROGRAMME of EVENTS -

10am: Opening of craft stalls along Staithe Street and in the Wells Health Centre Car Park. Children’s roundabouts and rides open on The Quay.

10.30am: Street entertainment begins and continues throughout the day, including the Ukelele Elves, Thundermental, The Dickensian Ding Dong, Fakenham Town Band, the Norwich Samba Band and assorted buskers.

Free children’s face-painting and lantern workshops (cost £3 per lantern) in Wells Health Centre car park.

4pm: Children’s fancy dress competition, Wells Health Centre car park.

4.45pm: Drawing of winning tickets for the Grand Christmas Draw by BBC Look East’s husband and wife presenting duo David Whiteley and Amelia Reynolds in Staithe St.

5pm: Switching on of the Christmas lights by David and Amelia. Illuminated lantern parade departs from the top of Staithe Street for Wells Quay.

6.30pm: Father Christmas arrives at The Quayside.

7pm: Free fireworks display over Wells Marshes.

10am to 8pm
